Topshop’s New Makeup Collection Channels Early ’70s Glamour

Inspired by the early ’70s, Topshop’s newest makeup collection is a mix of light, baby pink and faded yellow shades paired along with deep burgundy and bronzy tones — all which are meant to evoke the decade’s luxe yet laid-back glamour. The line, which is encased in tortoiseshell packaging and stamped with cutwork geometric shapes, includes a blush/bronzer duo, matte eyeshadow palette, an inky-black mascara, kohl eyeliner, and nude-colored lipsticks and lip liner. Something about the makeup feels very ’70s Faye Dunaway, with defined eyes accompanied by soft, neutral tones.

Though we love it all, we’re especially crazy about the Glow illuminator, an iridescent highlighter. The dewifying cream, which creates a subtle, pretty sheen that’s not overly shimmery, can be applied anywhere from the cheek bones to beneath the brow bone to right above the cupids bow.

The limited edition Smoke & Mirrors Autumn Winter Collection is available now at, $18 – $25.
